Editorial Policy
Last updated: February 2026
Signature Care is committed to providing accurate, trustworthy, and evidence-based health and home care information. As a provider of home care services to vulnerable populations, we recognize the importance of editorial integrity in all our published content. This policy outlines how we create, review, and maintain the information on our website.
Content Review Process
All health and care-related content published on our website follows a multi-step review process: (1) Research and drafting by our content team using current clinical guidelines, government health sources, and peer-reviewed literature; (2) Factual accuracy review by a subject matter expert on our care team; (3) Clinical review by our designated healthcare professional reviewer to verify medical and care-related claims; (4) Final editorial review for clarity, accessibility, and bilingual consistency. Content is not published until it has passed all stages of this review pipeline.
Healthcare Professional Review
All clinical and health-related content is reviewed by Nathalie Bergeron, RN, our Care Manager and designated medical reviewer. As a Registered Nurse with hands-on experience in home care, geriatric care, and chronic disease management, Nathalie ensures that our content accurately reflects current best practices in home care and elder care. You can learn more about her qualifications on her team profile page. Content that has been medically reviewed is marked with a Medical Review badge indicating the reviewer and date of last review.
Source and Citation Standards
We hold ourselves to high standards for the sources we reference: (1) We prioritize Canadian clinical practice guidelines, particularly from Quebec health authorities (MSSS, INSPQ, INESSS); (2) We reference peer-reviewed research published in recognized medical and gerontology journals; (3) We cite government health resources including Health Canada, the Public Health Agency of Canada, and the Alzheimer Society of Canada; (4) We do not cite sources that lack editorial oversight or peer review; (5) When statistics are referenced, we provide the source and year of publication to allow readers to verify claims independently.
Use of Artificial Intelligence
Signature Care uses AI tools to assist in the content creation process. Specifically: (1) AI may be used to generate initial drafts, suggest outlines, or assist with research synthesis; (2) All AI-generated or AI-assisted content is reviewed and edited by our human content team before publication; (3) Clinical claims in AI-assisted content undergo the same healthcare professional review as all other content; (4) Our AI chat assistant, the Concierge, provides general information about our services and is not a substitute for professional medical or care advice; (5) We are transparent about our use of AI because we believe readers deserve to know how content is produced.
